Geeks New Charts
Just back with a quick post about the new additions to A Geeks Toy. It now has all the possible charting options you could possibly want. In the video I have tried to demonstrate a few of them. The combinations and options are endless. I really like it when you hover over any runner in your ladder the graphs will automatically change to that selection.
There will always be some argument about how much use charts are in sports trading. I find them useful as a guide but still prefer to watch the market and look at amount traded at certain prices.
Will these new charts guarantee you will now become a successful trader? No but they give you one less excuse why your trading is no good :)

Good returns - March
March proved a good month for me I decided to concentrate most of my efforts on Horse Racing to get a true picture of my current ability in trading these markets. It payed off with a return of over £350 for the month. I traded a few races at Cheltenham and was very pleased with a return of over £20 a race on average. This was great as I was able to increase my stakes a little but also adapt to these markets which are different from the usual day to day races.
I also dabbled a little in some Aussie races and you can see a couple of these below. I was able to make reasonable profits. However I won't be doing these all the time as you need a break sometime. I also made about £20 from my football trading.
Next month sees the return of evening racing and hopefully the opportunity for part time traders to increase their monthly returns.
On a final note as I post this I do wonder what I am achieving by posting this. Is it for me? If it is I am not sure I need to post now as I am far more aware of my mental trading state now. Is it to help other traders? I am note sure how much it helps to know other traders are making money there are plenty of blogs that do that. Something for me to think about.

Denman
Just a quick post. I am not a great reader of form but Denman is a huge price to win the Gold Cup tomorrow. He may have unseat AP last time out but in November he was absolutely awesome.
At the prices I think that Denman is the only bet. Of course Kauto Star may win but is no value at his current price. Whatever happens lets hope it is a great race. Should be plenty of liquidity for all the traders.

Recovery Mission - February
Got back on track in February. I managed to make a profit! The month started quite challengingly with a loss on the Superbowl. I suppose it was inevitabe after saying I was very confident with my Gridiron trading. I had built up a good profit but then risked far too much at the end of the game thinking the Colts would come back. I think i was a bit greedy trying to finish the season on a big high. The lesson from this mistake is not to risk too much when there is little time for any sort of recovery.. This mistake cost me £66.
My Horse Race trading has been steady if unspectacular netting £178 for the month. Hopefully I am warming up nicely for the greater opportunities in this month and beyond. As already stated the most pleasing development in my trading recently is my ability to trade more than one horse at a time thanks to the layout on Geeks Toy. I will try not to get too excited about Cheltenham as I will be at work most of the time. I also remember it can be quite difficult to adapt to the markets especially when you usually trade Kempton(AW) or Wolves.
I have tried to concentrate on just football for the rest of my trading this month. I often found that experimenting in some markets and inevitably losing in those markets can adversely affect my trading in other sports. The month was good with a few trading methods I am excited about if I can handle the long losing runs the strategy will generate but occasional big windfalls. I managed a profit of just over £100 from football. Just trading football and Horse racing in the next month will also give me some time away from my computer screen! The more I trade the more important I am realising this is becoming.
Looking forward to the rest of the year now I am profit for 2010.

Lucky Last
Just a quick video to prove to myself that I can trade. I was pleased with this effort as I started the race with a loss and quickly closed that trade and moved on. It is taken from the last race of the day from a couple of weeks ago.
The Geeks Toy software is very quick and as I have mentioned before it is free. It is also very easy to customise.
